EDA collaborative projects in Assistive Technology feature in Department of Health report

Three collaborative projects between the School of Engineering and Digital Arts and the Neurorehabilitation Unit and Medical Physics Department at the East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust (EKHUFT) feature in the latest Department of Health annual report “Research and Development Work Relating to Assistive Technology ”. The report is a comprehensive review of projects undertaken across the UK between April 2011 and March 2012 that aim to develop innovative technologies to support older and disabled people to maximise their independence.

The three collaborative projects mentioned in the report are as follows and further details can be found by following the links.

The first two projects will be presented at the annual combined conference of the American Neurorehabilitation Societies ACRM and ASNR in October 2012. The authors have been invited to join the prestigious American Faculty for Rehabilitation Medicine. The third project will be presented at a European Conference at Lille in August.
