School of Engineering and Digital Arts

Student support and welfare

The School of Engineering and Digital Arts provides a friendly, supportive environment and is dedicated to helping you get the most out of the challenges and opportunities university study brings. Furthermore, we are committed to the equality of opportunity for all of our students. We aim to ensure that students with disabilities realise their full potential and have a “living” policy in place related to our Support for Disabled Students in the School.

Support in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts

Within the School, for your convenience, we have a Student Support Manager who can see you at any time.

Relly is a trained counsellor, and you can see her in confidence should you wish. She is the first point of contact for non-academic support and guidance, for all matters concerning student support and is also the person to whom any concessionary evidence should be forwarded. Relly can make referrals to specialist services such as Student Support and Wellbeing and works closely with School Reps.

The School of Engineering and Digital Arts is committed to the University of Kent’s Policy on Inclusive Learning Plans (ILPs) and Support to Study procedure. Please contact Support and Wellbeing for more information.

Useful guidelines regarding Disability access to the Templeman Library Services are also available here.
