Each student on a taught programme is assigned an Academic Adviser at the start of the academic year. Academic Advisers strengthen the learning experience of students and:
- support students' academic development, giving general academic progress advice in relation to courses;
- give personal development advice and guidance - enhancing students' employability skills.
If you require guidance, for instance on module choices, your Academic Adviser can help you. If you are struggling with any aspect of your studies it is especially important that you contact him or her. (S)he can advise you and if necessary refer you to sources of support such as the Student Support Officer, Student Welfare Officer and Student Support and Wellbeing (SSW) or the Senior Tutor.
